Beginning in the early 1800’s New Englanders came south to beat the winter cold. With them came the charm and style that, still today, reminds visitors of a quaint New England Village. Mount Dora has quite the reputation. It has been called the “Friendliest Small Town,” “The City of Parks,” “The Festival City,” and one of the best “Romantic Escapes.”
